2022-23

A quick update en route to another tour venue, reprising our production for Welsh National Opera of Will Todd’s Migrations. This weekend we’re in Plymouth, with our remaining performances to come in Birmingham and Southampton. Alongside WNO, 2022 saw my debut in the role of Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, first for Oxford Opera and secondly for Dorset Opera which garnered favourable reviews of which a selection can be found HERE.

Next summer I will make my Royal Opera House debut as a Flemish Deputy in Verdi’s Don Carlo (postponed from 2020 due to the Covid pandemic).

In celebration of Vaughan Williams’ 150th anniversary, I’ve had the pleasure of singing his Five Mystical Songs twice this summer (Coventry and Snape Maltings), as well songs including Silent Noon in recital with Huw Watkins and Presteigne Festival and also with Simon Lepper at Pembridge. It was an honour to sing the Serenade to Music as part of this year’s Aldeburgh Festival. This November I shall perform Dona Nobis Pacem at St George’s Bristol (with Richard Blackford’s Pietà) and the Sea Symphony at Truro Cathedral.

On the concert platform, this winter I especially look forward to performing Handel’s great Messiah at his own church St George’s, Hanover Square as part of the London Handel Festival, and making my Polish debut in Bach’s B Minor Mass with the Opole Philharmonic. I am excited to sing Fauré’s Requiem at York Minster which is followed by three consecutive Bach concerts ahead of Holy Week 2023. Please see SCHEDULE for more details.
